// Tomy Lorsch (Findasense)

tomy-lorsch.jpgTomy Lorsch is a german/argentine entrepreneur and digital strategy consultant with over 12 years´ experience advising companies, start-ups and agencies in the digital marketing and online advertising industry. When he was just 16, he co-founded the first unofficial website for the football club River Plate, becoming a pioneer in live radio online broadcasting.

In May 2007 Tomy co-founded Findasense, a digital strategy and online business development boutique, which became an investor-partner of StepOne Ventures in 2009. StepOne assists innovative, high-growth-stage technology companies expand their operations into the US market, and was co-founded by Bernardo Hernández, current Global Director of Consumer Marketing at Google.

In 2009 he co-founded Tenmodai, a social & digital interation observatory.

In 2007 he partnered with Eventos OME to produce Danny Sullivan’s Search Marketing Expo (SMX) conference series in Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico; thanks to an agreement with parent US-based company Third Door Media Inc. He is Director of Content of OMExpo, (conference and fair for online marketing and digital advertising), and of the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit in Spain, Portugal, Mexico and Brazil. Tomy is also co-editor of the Spanish version of Search Engine Land.

He also serves as a frequent guest lecturer and professor at the Instituto de Empresa Business School in Madrid.

Tomy´s past work experience includes:

Online Marketing Director at a travel & education company in Germany. Responsible for online activities in 14 languages and 20 countries, SEO Consultant for Europe and Japan at  24/7 Real Media (a WPP company), Spanish Country Manager of MyVideo, (competitor of  Youtube) founded by the European Founders Fund and acquired by German TVgroup ProSieben for ca. €40 million euros.

His vertical expertise covers Travel, Education and Media, Finance, Health, Retail, working with large names such as Vodafone, Expedia, IKEA, Moneybookers, Bayer, Deutsche Welle, Indra, 20minutos, Rumbo, as well as agencies within the media families WPP, Interpublic Group and Publicis Groupe 

Tomy has a Social Science background from the University of Buenos Aires and the Johann Wolfgang Goethe Universtät, in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He has contributed to and/or been quoted in publications such as El País, La Nación, revista Interactiva and Americas Quarterly

He also brings an international background to his work, having lived and worked in Latin America, Europe and Asia, and is fluent in Spanish, English and German.
