Nikolaj Nyholm is an accomplished Internet Entrepreneur and open source advocate who has spent the last 10 years pushing the forefront of Internet infrastructure projects through commercial ventures or community activity.

Nikolaj currently serves as CEO of Polar Rose, a visual search engine. Polar Rose was named a World Economic Forum (Davos) 2008 Technology Pioneer, a Red Herring Global 100 winner, and consistently tops the lists of the most promising and awarded startups in Scandinavia.

Nikolaj is founding investor and board member of CloudMade, the open geodata company behind OpenStreetMap.org, a ‘Wikipedia of maps’, board member of Epista A/S, and co-organizer of reboot (http://reboot.dk), a heralded conference that has for 11 years drawn a community of visionaries from across Europe and North America to Copenhagen each June to discuss topics within technology and culture.
