Efe Cakarel is the Founder and CEO of The Auteurs, an online cinematheque based in Palo Alto, CA. The Auteurs is an ambitious project that aims to deliver a uniquely curated library of films through high-definition streaming online for free.

Before he got into media, Efe spent a number of years with Goldman Sachs in London and New York, where he executed Tech IPOs, M&As, and private equity investments. He’s highly involved with EU’s accession negotiations with Turkey, and recently spent time in the European Parliament advising Alejo Vidal-Quadras, Vice President of the European Parliament, on EU’s dealings with Turkey.

Efe earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, and MBA from Stanford.
