Ananda Martin is a corporate attorney in the Emerging Companies, CleanTech and Asia Practice Groups at Perkins Coie LLP based in their Menlo Park office where she advises startups on a range of corporate, financial and IP-related issues. She is actively involved in several projects promoting US-China collaboration in the cleantech sector. She is still trying to figure out what her first start up, EnCompassAsia, is all about, but suspects it has something to do with fostering collaboration between the United States and China in the areas of higher education and green technology.
Before receiving her JD at Harvard Law School, she studied and lived in East Asia for over 10 years, learning Japanese and Mandarin and earning an MA in Japanese History from Columbia University. She is a Fulbright Fellow, Truman National Security Fellow and member of the National Committee for US China Relations and sits on the boards of several non-profit organizations.
